چکیده
Autogenous shrinkage may be a critical issue concerning the use of limestone-calcined clay-cement (LC3) in high-performance concrete and 3D printable cementitious materials, which have relatively low water to binder (W/B) ratio. Adding an internal curing agent, i.e., superabsorbent polymer (SAP), could viable solution this context. However, employing SAP (without adding additional water) also influence fresh properties LC3 composites by increasing yield stress viscosity, beneficial for printability. Therefore, study attempts as rheology modifying admixture with aim investigating impact on flow behavior, structural build-up, hydration kinetics, compressive strength, autogenous pastes fixed W/B (0.3). In addition, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (a typical rheology/viscosity modifier materials) was employed two mixtures compare their effects. Results show that increases dynamic apparent well build-up hydration, but decreases strength at 3, 7 28 days. Furthermore, using (especially 0.2 wt% SAP) not only promotes early-age expansion effectively mitigates up Overall, obtained results indicated act promising development materials.

متن کاملCrack Mitigation in Concrete: Superabsorbent Polymers as Key to Success?
Cracking is a major concern in building applications. Cracks may arise from shrinkage, freeze/thawing and/or structural stresses, amongst others. Several solutions can be found but superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) seem to be interesting to counteract these problems. At an early age, the absorbed water by the SAPs may be used to mitigate autogenous and plastic shrinkage. The formed macro pores may...

To reduce the risk of spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the emerging protocols are advising for less physicianpatientcontact, shortening the contact time, and keeping a safe distance. It is recommended that unnecessary castingbe avoided in the events that alternative methods can be applied such as in stable ankle fractures, and hindfoot/midfoot/forefoot injuries. Fib...
متن کاملCan Prostate Specific Antigen Be Used as New Biomarker for Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer?
Introduction: As a glycoprotein, Plasma Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) is mainly produced by prostate epithelial cells and is used as a major diagnostic tool for prostate cancer. A group of researchers relate the elevated number of estrogen receptors in breast cancer samples to the over-production of PSA in this type of cancer. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the participants' ...
